Laura started her interest in fitness from an early age, playing every sport that was offered to her at school whilst also dancing tap, ballet and jazz. She found that her love of sport and dance made her a great all round athlete and she achieved county and national level in over 5 sports. During her training, she spent a lot of time with some of the top coaches in UK and learnt many different techniques and tips for getting the most out of physical and mental performance both by manipulating training methods and nutrition. Health and fitness became a way of life and she was always conscious of eating clean and training several times per week. After she realised that her sporting career would not develop into a professional one, she found a passion for resistance training in the gym and loved the body shape she could create by experimenting with different weights, plyometrics and high intensity interval training. She is now on a mission to help other ladies fall in love with resistance and hit training in the hope that they will become fit, healthy and strong as a way of life over obsessing with trying to lose weight.
“I want to help ladies look at their bodies, accept and appreciate what they have, then work with me to make that the best it can look, feel and ultimately be. There is something so restricting and negative about telling yourself to lose weight and I believe it already subconsciously sets us up for failure. So by not focusing on what you need to lose but instead about all the things you need to gain like lean muscle mass, healthy eating habits, education, a positive outlook and ultimately a healthier, leaner body seems to me to achieve far better results than always thinking about what you need to lose.” X
